See Kangaroos and Koalas IN THE WILD
In small groups this naturalist guided ecotour gives
you quality time to learn about wildlife and enjoy the wide open spaces
of Australia. Get close to kangaroos, koalas and abundant birdlife - IN
THE WILD!!
Our special Koala Research Project ensures that we often
have multiple sightings of these delightful creatures in the wild. A
delicious bush lunch is included.
On this naturalist-guided ecotour, spend the morning in
the famous grasslands and around the billabongs of our Open-range
Sanctuary in the company of hundreds of wild Kangaroos, dozens of Emus
and many species of birds.
In the afternoon, walk amongst the gum trees in a
National Park and see wild Koalas.

Deluxe Savannah Walkabout (SWP) and Private Standard Savannah Walkabout (SWA)
- Location: the Great Western Plains
near Melbourne including an Open Range Sanctuary and a bushland
National Park.
- Duration: 1 Day - Grade - easy.
- Departs: daily ex city of
Melbourne 9am to 9:30am all year - see note below about new pickup points.

** The child rate applies from 2 to 13 years of age
inclusive. Infants to 2 years are free of charge. However we must be
notified of their ages. Child restraints or booster seats are legally
required for
babies and children under seven years of age. We can arrange
child
seats for $20 AUD per seat.
Pickup
Points - As a serious and committed ecotour operator, our
emissions
from vehicle fuel have long been a concern for us. While we can't
forego the use of vehicles, we do everything
we can to limit unnecessary usage. So we have implemented a
simple, set pickup schedule, just for the Savannah Walkabout one day
tour. We have chosen five hotels that are quick and easy to
access, are easy to find, and are already popular with our guests and
agents: SW

Upon receiving a new booking, we will suggest a pickup location from
this list below (or you can). Please provide your contact phone
number or accommodation details so that we can confirm pickup time and
provide a map, if required.
Please be ready at the pickup point 5 minutes before the pickup time.

08.45am Crown Promenade Hotel (8 Whiteman St, Southbank)
09.10am Rydges Melbourne Hotel (186 Exhibition St, Melbourne City)

You will be returned to the same location as pickup.
A pickup time and location must be booked at time of tour
booking. The tour vehicle will not go to pickup locations unless
they are booked for that day. So if you change your plans, you do
need to tell us.
