Echidna Walkabout is all about understanding Australia's wildlife IN THE WILD! All animals we visit are wild. Wildness is dynamic! We'll help you experience nature at its best, where each day is a new mystery and each encounter is unique. Where what matters most of all is the wildlife.

Echidna Walkabout is a wildlife specialist tour operator. We focus on the iconic mammals, reptiles and striking, special birds of Australia. We will happily spend time gazing at a Koala, while Black-chinned Honeyeaters pluck her fur for their nests; or listening to the composition of a Superb Lyrebird and trying to pick out all the mimicked calls of other birds. We love to show travellers the antics of curious teenage Emus, or to watch quietly as a 2 metre Goanna swallows a fish as large as his own head.

You'll see the natural behaviour of these wild animals by approaching slowly and quietly without disturbing them. Your Wildlife Guide will show you how. Every one of our Wildlife Guides have years of experience with wild animals, and a passion for working with them.

All our tours focus on wildlife watching, but each has its highlights. Scroll down for a short description of each tour, and click through for more information.
