Magpie Geese
"Magpie Geese are ‘the big softies’ of the
billabong. They can be noisy but their soft honks almost sound like “excuse
me, hope you don’t mind, could I just squeeze in here please?”

Sweet, gentle and tolerant, Magpie Geese prefer to be
surrounded by their own kind and other waterfowl.
Serendip Sanctuary in Victoria is now
the only place in Southern Australia where they live wild.
